ForeseeHome Helps Catch Wet AMD Early
Wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can lead to rapid vision loss. The ForeseeHome AMD Monitoring Program is proven to help your doctor catch it early, when treatment works best.
AMD progresses through early, intermediate, and advanced stages. Wet AMD is an advanced form of the disease. It often begins without symptoms. If it’s not found early, your vision may not be preserved, even with treatment. That’s why ongoing monitoring between eye exams is so important.
How ForeseeHome Works
ForeseeHome is a comprehensive home-based monitoring service provided by the Notal Vision Monitoring Center.
The program is FDA cleared and covered by Medicare.
It includes an easy-to-use device that tests your central vision and only a takes a couple of minutes per prescribed eye each day. During the test, a series of dotted lines flash on the screen and disappear. Using a computer mouse, you are asked to click where you saw a distortion, which looks like a bump or wave, on the dotted line.
Data from each test are automatically sent to the Notal Vision Monitoring Center. If there are any changes in your testing that may show signs of wet AMD, the monitoring center alerts your eye doctor, who will determine the best course of action for you.
This daily testing is a way to help stay ahead of vision loss.
